How many ways are there to say “please take our survey”? Turns out — a lot!

We’ve created these templates to help you promote your survey online, whether it’s The National Community Survey (The NCS), a survey from the Polco Library, or one you’ve created yourself.  These suggested posts are optimized for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Nextdoor. We recommend posting a different message each week your survey is open.

Simply fill in the blanks to personalize the text for your community or organization, then copy and paste into your social media platform. To help increase your reach, encourage staff, councilmembers, community partners and local news outlets to “like” and “share” your social media posts about the survey.

Pro Tip: Social media posts that have colorful images get more clicks than posts that don’t. Feel free to choose an illustration provided by Polco below, or use your own. Pictures of your community (like skylines or popular downtown areas) are great! You can even tag partners in pictures to remind them to retweet or share. Use images with little to no text. If you'd like to include a Polco logo with your image, you can download a .eps here or a .png here.

The more you get the word out about your survey, the more responses you can expect!
